Thomas Hewitt Obituary

Thomas Hewitt passed away peacefully on March 18, 2023 at the VA Medical Center in Providence, RI where he was lovingly cared for by the staff throughout the years.

Raised in South Easton, MA, Tom was a member of the United States Navy and veteran of the Gulf War and later worked for the Veterans Administration Hospital system for many years.

Tom is predeceased by his father, James E. Hewitt and survived by his mother, Harriett Hewitt, his son, James M Hewitt and his wife, Anya. He leaves behind his grandsons, Jack and Elliot. He was the brother of Layne Edwards and her husband, Kevin.

He will be missed by a huge community as he was a friend of Bill W. and had been a part of that fellowship for many years.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Covenant Congregational Church, 204 Center Street, N. Easton, MA on Wednesday March 29,2023 at 10:00am, followed by a luncheon from 11:00-12:30pm. Burial with Military Honors will immediately follow at the National Massachusetts Cemetery, Connery Ave, Bourne, MA at 1:30pm. All family and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
