Ruth Dolores Williams

Ruth Dolores Williams, 82, died 10 October 2018 at the Highlands Rest Home in Fitchburg, MA.     

Ruth Williams was born on 17th December 1935 in Jersey City, NJ.  At the tender age of 45, she went to Springfield College and gained her Bachelor’s of Science degree.   Ruth had a lifetime career as a foster parent for children with special needs. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, shopping and spending time with her family.

Ruth was a strong woman and fought a good fight.  We carry that strength within us. 

Ruth is survived by her 2 daughters, Denise (Prince) Clarke and Cheryl Fields, and son, Edward (Amy) Williams.  Her daughter, Dolores Clark preceded her in death in 2005.  She also leaves her grandchildren, Michael (Dominique) Clark, Latisha Raines, Jountea Raines, Kyle Clark, Jeremiah Raines, Anthony and Andre Williams and Tiana Clark and a host of great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.  

“You were sick and tired and we all knew,
that God would soon come to take you.
You fought so hard, so very long,
but through the pain, you stayed strong.
We all knew there would come a day,
when God would come to carry you away.
It doesn't make it easier to say goodbye,
and we try so hard not to cry     

I know some day; you'll be there when we take that ride.

Her memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Southeast Funeral and Cremation Services, 93 Center Street, Easton, MA 02356 at 1:00PM.
