Rita DiGangi Obituary

Rita W. DiGangi, longtime resident of Brockton, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 14, 2020 at the age of 92. Rita was the wife of the late Bernard DiGangi for many years. Born to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Devaney on December 22, 1927, she was one of 13 children.

Rita formerly worked as a Dispatcher arranging medical appointments for The Council on Aging in Stoughton. She also waitressed for many years at the Amerose on the Charles in Boston. She was a former member of the Westgate Chapel and enjoyed assisting in the Meals on Wheels Program.

Rita is survived by her two sons, Robert DiGangi of Brockton and Michael DiGangi and his wife Sandra of Buzzards Bay. Two daughters, Linda Digangi of Hull and Mary Solomita of Brockton. She predeceased her daughter, the late Gail Foster. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
