Richard Holmberg

Richard Holmberg, 82, of Naples, ME and Avon Park, FL died on Monday, February 26, 2024 at the VA Medical Center in West Roxbury.  He was born on December 6, 1941 in Quincy, MA to the late Earling and Margaret (Davis) Holmberg.  

Richard attended local schools and graduated from North Quincy High School.  Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy.  On May 27, 1967, he married the late Rita Leahy.  They made their home in Pembroke, MA and Richard went on to work for the US Government as an electrician at the Charlestown Navy Yard.  He retired from the US Government after many years of service.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Doreen Browne and her husband, James of Norton, MA; his son, Richard Holmberg and his wife Kelly Le-Holmberg of Stoughton, MA; a niece, Melissa Reeder of Kingston, MA; four grandchildren:  Cecelia and Andrew Browne and Courtney and Bryan Holmberg; great nieces; Kate-Lynn and Holly Reeder-Morning, and a great-great nephew, Jeremiah Reeder.

Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 5:00PM- 7:00 PM at the Southeast Funeral Home, 93 Center St., Easton, MA 02358.  Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
