Phyllis C. (Schreiter) Anderson

Phyllis C. Anderson, age 89, passed away on March 23, 2021 after a lengthy period of failing health.  She was born in Norwood on May 17, 1931 to the late Walter and Mildred (Meyer) Schreiter.  Phyllis was the wife of the late Donald E. Anderson.

Phyllis graduated from Walpole High School in 1949.  She and Donald wed in 1954 and made their home in Easton where Phyllis spent her days as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She was a member of the Easton Historical Society, the Easton National Resources Trust and volunteered at the Guardian Life Center of Brockton.  She was a highly involved member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Easton, whose parishioners she viewed as her extended family.

Phyllis enjoyed traveling with her husband Donald, seeing the world together. She cherished her time spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, bible study, knitting, family gatherings, many church activities, cooking, baking cookies, playing bingo and watching the Red Sox.

Phyllis leaves behind her son, Bruce E. Anderson and his wife, Lori Anderson of Raynham. She was predeceased by her late daughter, Donna M. Anderson Andresen and her late sister-in-law, Lorraine A. Anderson.  Phyllis is survived by her son-in-law Christian Andresen, four grandchildren; Christopher and his wife Jennifer Anderson of Raynham, Scott and his wife Erin Anderson of Florida and Kyle and Colby Anderson Andresen of Vermont; her beloved great-grandchildren; Tatum and Chase Anderson of Raynham and Halle and Brooke Anderson of Florida and her many friends and loved ones.

Following COVID-19 guidelines, a visitation will be held at the Southeast Funeral Home, 93 Center St., Easton, MA. on Friday, March 26 from 4:00PM – 6:00PM.  Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Phyllis's memory to the Memorial Fund at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 143 Lincoln St., North Easton MA  02356.
