Margaret A. Merlino “Peggy”, 83, longtime resident of Easton, Ma, formerly of Roxbury and Canton passed away on Saturday June 17, 2023.
Peggy was born on May 9, 1940 in Boston, a daughter of Isabel (Hurley) and Guido Taglieri.
Peggy was educated in Boston Public Schools and graduated from Jeremiah E. Burke High School in Roxbury, Ma in 1957. Peggy raised her children in Canton, she was a fiercely devoted mother and worked hard to encourage and support her children throughout their formative years. Peggy had many lifelong friends, and enjoyed time spent with them. She was a senior sales secretary for Dynisco in Westwood, Ma, for many years. Additionally, she worked for Eversource until her retirement in 2010. Peggy leaves behind many friends from both companies. Peggy enjoyed time spent with her family, traveling to Europe with friends, lounging at the beaches in the area and was an avid fan of the cinema.
Peggy will be forever missed by her children, Anne, Tina, and Joe, her eight grandchildren and her ten great-grandchildren. Nana was very proud of each of them. Peggy was also the mother of the late Michael P. Merlino and sister of the late Mary Porter and Michael Taglieri.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to a Memorial Visitation on Friday June 30,2023 at Southeast Funeral Home 93 Center St, North Easton, Ma. from 9:00am-10:00am with a Memorial Service being held in the Funeral Home at 10:00am. Interment at Canton Corner Cemetery in Canton, 1600 Washington St., will be private for immediate family only.
