Lorraine Duprez Obituary

Lorraine Cambra Duprez, wife of the late George Duprez, age 77, passed away peacefully in the arms of her family on February 28, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Cecelia and John Cambra.

On this day we lost a mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. We choose to celebrate her life rather than mourn her death. She was one tough cookie but she also had a soft side. She stood strong but was able to bend. Lorraine could spin yarns and tales, we laughed in spite of the fact that we knew she was exaggerating. We all knew she was truly a drama queen. At the very end she rolled her eyes as if to say "Oh, Please". As a friend she loved you to the very end.  As a mother, she loved hard but would do anything for her children.  As a cousin, she would leave you with the best memories ever. Her presence will be felt forever.

Lorraine loved to go to the beach. She enjoyed decorating and doing all sorts of crafts and bargain shopping.  Yard sales were her favorite!  She loved to hang out with friends and most of all, her great-granddaughters.

Lorraine had the ability to leave quite an impression. She would give you the shirt off her back even though it was the only one she had. The amazing thing is, she always got her way. She always said when it was her time to go all her children would be there no matter what. Her children were there holding her hand. Our precious DeeDee was not afraid of death and took great comfort in knowing that all she had to do was lay there and someone would help her with her pain. We cry for ourselves because we will miss her. She, on the other hand, would tell us "Quit your crying and go have fun, live your life until we meet again, I'm ok."

Lorraine was the mother of Kathy Shoesmith of New Bedford, James Logan of Fall River, Kelly (Robert) Bento of Raynham, Toni DeMoura of New Hampshire, Andrew DeMoura of California; Grandmother to Danielle Shoesmith, Jacob (Kailyn) Shoesmith, Logan Bento, Caden Bento, Kaya Demoura, Tiger DeMoura, Taylor Russo, Nicholas Gragg and Daren Gragg; Great-grandmother to Kaydence Viveiros.

A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Ann's Church, 660 N. Main St., Raynham, on Saturday March 26th @ 11:00 am. Reception immediately following at the home of Kelly and Robert Bento.

Donations maybe made to a charity of ones choice.
