Judith “Judy” A. McCusker (Mullan), 85, of North Easton, MA, formerly of Ashland, MA, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Judy was born on April 23, 1938, to Daniel Mullan and Florence (Smock) Mullan in Burbank, California. She graduated from the Melrose-Wakefield School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse until her retirement. Judy was happiest spending time with her family and laughing at their stories. She loved the New England Patriots, her weekly art classes in Ashland, Long Beach in Gloucester, and watercolor painting. She was known for her pride in her children and grandchildren, her sarcastic sense of humor, and her perpetual optimism. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was the beloved mother of Colleen Corona and her husband, Jose, of Georgia; Daniel McCusker and his wife, Maiko, of California; Maureen Studley and her husband, David of Upton; and Karen Goveia and her husband, Chris, of Easton. She was the dear grandmother of Eric, Daniel, and Julia Corona; Sophia and Benjamin Studley; and Brooke Goveia. She is also survived by her sister in-law, Joan Walsh and her husband Frank (who were not only family but two of her dearest friends), and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 36 years, Richard J. McCusker.
At Judy’s request, funeral services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Judy’s honor to Natural Resource Trust, PO Box 188, North Easton, MA, 02356 (http://nrtofeaston.org) or The Ashland Senior Center, 162 West Union Street, Ashland, MA, 01721.
