Donald McPherson

Donald McPherson passed away peacefully surrounded by his beloved Helen and her daughter Gail Lyons, the daughter he never had, on May 9, 2021.  Donald was born in Weymouth to the late Archibald and Elizabeth (Anderson) on October 24, 1953.

Donald grew up on a farm and enjoyed the life of farming.  He loved fishing and NASCAR.  He worked as a sandblaster and in landscaping.

Donald leaves behind his loving son, Gordon McPherson and his fiance and longtime partner of 30 years; Helen Elliot.  He is survived by his brother Arthur McPherson, sister Mary and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased in life by his late brothers; Allen and William Glover and George (Mike) Alger; his late sister, Cathy McPherson and late niece Elizabeth McPherson.

A Memorial Celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 23rd at the VFW, 95 Essex St., Whitman, MA  from 11:00AM-3:00PM with a memorial service beginning at 11:30AM.
