Daniel J. “ Dan “ Glover, age 44, passed unexpectedly on September 9th, 2023. Dan, born in Stoughton, the youngest of five children, was raised in Easton. After marriage, he and his wife Amanda, remained in Easton, where they have raised their own family for the last twenty years.
Dan will be remembered for his boldness and brilliant, quick wit. He could light up a room, and would talk to anyone and everyone. Dan was a perfectionist when it came to his craft as a carpenter. He could build or fix almost anything, and if met with a challenge, would persevere until he figured it out. He had a soft side of kindness and generosity, and loved sharing his passion of dirt biking with his boys. On a moment’s notice, Dan could be found trailering ponies, and bringing his daughter to horse shows. Always smiling, even if it was 4am. With great pride, he referred to himself as “Pony hauler”. The consummate “dirt bike Dad” and “horse show Dad”. He was always there to cheer his children on.
He was the man that would literally give you the shirt off his back, and will forever leave a large hole in the hearts of those he has left behind.
Dan holds a special place in the lives of his niece Elisabeth, and nephews Luke and Christopher. He willingly stepped in as a father figure, when they unexpectedly suffered the loss of their own Dad, Louis Sawelsky, at very young ages.
Dan will be lovingly remembered and missed by his family. His wife, Amanda ( Feldman ) Glover, and his children, Daniel jr, Eli, and Lillian Glover of Easton. His mother Yvonne ( Svensson ) Glover of Taunton. His siblings, Christina ( Glover ) Sawelsky-Morse of Sharon, David Glover of Barkhamsted CT, Monika Glover of Taunton, and Lisa ( Glover ) Swale of Taunton.
He will be fondly missed by his four nieces, Elisabeth, Lindsay, Nicole and Hannah, and his seven nephews, Luke, Christopher, Quron, Stephon, Colton, Hunter, and Jayden. Great nieces and nephews Luke, Ava, Alex, Max, Patrick, Brayden, Mia, and Aviana. His brothers-in-law, Richard Morse, and John Swale. As well as a large extended family and many friends.
Dan is predeceased by his father, William J. Glover jr, and his brother-in-law, Louis Sawelsky.
Dan will be laid to rest alongside Louis. They were like brothers, both lived large, loved much, and left this life far too soon.
A graveside service will be held on Friday September 15, 2023, at 11am at Rock Ridge Cemetery,101 East St, Sharon, MA 02067. Friends and family are invited back to the family home in Easton following the service.
