Catherine Ann (Cummings) Denly

Catherine Ann (Cummings) Denly, 70, of Bridgewater MA passed away November 28, 2019 due to a brief illness. She went peacefully with her husband, son and daughter by her side. She was born in Brockton on November 26, 1949 to the late Robert Cummings and Estrella (Cruz) Cummings. Catherine graduated from Brockton High School in 1968. She fell in love with her high school sweetheart whom she went on to marry, and soon after had their first child, Michael, and many years later their second, Cristina.  Catherine had worked as a hairdresser and health aide for many years. She had a true passion for taking care of others. “Cathy” had many passions - she loved gardening and dancing and would relish doing the latter with anyone, at any time. She loved deeply and unconditionally, and her family meant everything to her. Cathy was full of life and love and was there for anyone who needed her.  She was a woman of many talents and could accomplish anything to which she set her mind. Her big, beautiful brown eyes, her warm smile and earnest hugs will live in our hearts. She will always be our superwoman and shining star. She will be missed and evermore loved, and we look forward to the day when we once again will be embraced by her most perfect hug and kiss. In addition to her husband Barry Denly, Catherine is survived by her two children; Michael Denly of Berkeley, Cristina Denly of East Bridgewater MA, Michael’s wife Kelly Denly, Cristina’s longtime partner August Silva, her grandchildren Jaimitio Horta, Bradford Denly,  Brianne Denly, her brother William Cummings and his two sons Michael Cummings and Christopher Cummings as well as many cousins. Per Catherine’s request, services will be private.
